BEFORE THE FIRST GRIP
This policy.
This policy covers BONECAT, the cut-paper cat grapple game, and this privacy website. It explains the information the game keeps, the services you can choose to use, and how to make a privacy request.
BONECAT works offline. You do not need to create a BONECAT account to play. Your progress and outfits are saved locally. Some Android features use Google services; those features are described below.
BONECAT is published by ARKIV GAMES STUDIO. You can find the privacy contact in section 08.
KEPT WITH YOUR CAT
On your device.
The game remembers enough to let you pick up where you left off:
- Campaign progress, checkpoints, challenge results, best times, medals, and earned INK and Rings.
- Owned cosmetics, equipped items, saved outfits, and purchase entitlements.
- Sound, comfort, controls, input calibration, and other settings.
- Optional local ghost paths used to replay your own runs.
These records support play, restoration, and your settings. A recovery copy helps protect against a failed save. Android local save files use app-private encrypted storage. Browser play uses the browser's local storage for the game's origin.
Local data stays until you erase it, uninstall the app, clear the game's browser storage, or your device removes it. Encryption reduces ordinary file-access risks; it cannot guarantee protection on a compromised device.
Keep the same installation. Clearing site data or uninstalling can remove your local progress. Restoring a purchase restores its entitlement; it does not recreate your game progress.
WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO CONNECT
Optional services.
An ad starts with your choice.
Android cosmetic rewards offer Load Optional Ads. That starts any required Google consent flow and prepares an ad. Watching requires a separate Watch choice. You can choose Stop Ads to cancel loading. There are no automatic ads during play, and browser play has no advertising SDK.
If you load an ad, Google Mobile Ads and its consent service process information needed to serve ads, apply your choices, measure performance, and prevent fraud. This can include your IP address and approximate location inferred from it, device or account identifiers (including an advertising ID where permitted), ad interactions, and diagnostic information. Processing depends on consent, your device settings, and the serving configuration.
Where available, Settings → Data → Ad Privacy Options lets you review Google's consent choices. Declining or leaving an ad flow does not prevent offline play. Google's privacy policy
Google handles checkout.
If you choose a purchase, Google Play handles payment. BONECAT receives the product, purchase status, and purchase token needed to grant, acknowledge, or restore the item. The game keeps the entitlement with your save. BONECAT does not receive your card number.
Google keeps its own payment and transaction records under its policies. Erasing BONECAT data does not refund a purchase or erase those Google records.
A second home for a save.
Optional Google Play Games backup is being prepared and is not connected in the current version. Where it becomes available, you can enable it in Settings → Data → Cloud Backup. Google Play Games uses your player identifier to store your current game save and a recovery copy in your account.
Turning backup off keeps an existing cloud copy. A queued save or deletion may wait for a working connection and Google Play Services. “Queued” means the request was accepted for synchronization; it does not confirm that Google's server has received it. Deletion is explained in the next sections.
NO REPORTING ENDPOINT CONNECTED
Statistics & crashes.
The current version has no configured destination for gameplay statistics or crash reports, so BONECAT does not transmit either. The game may keep a random local installation identifier and temporary event records on your device; these are not sent to a reporting service in this configuration.
The Share Anon Stats setting is in Settings → Data. Its saved value is on by default, but it does not activate a reporting service. This statistics switch does not control crash reporting; neither is transmitted in the current configuration. We will update this policy before enabling a reporting destination.
This does not describe Google's own processing if you choose an ad, purchase, or available cloud feature. Those services follow the rules in section 03 and Google's policies.
THE CONTROLS ARE YOURS
Keep it. Or erase it.
You can keep playing offline, leave optional ads unloaded, review ad privacy choices where offered, and turn available cloud backup off. You can also erase your BONECAT save from inside the game.
- 1Return to the main menu.Leave an active or paused run first.
- 2Open Settings → Data.Choose Delete My Data.
- 3Tap again to confirm. This removes your local progress, outfits, settings, and ghost data.
Deletion also discards pending statistics and resets locally stored ad-consent signals. If cloud backup was linked to a player, the game requests replacement of both the current cloud save and its recovery copy with a small deletion marker. That marker may remain with Google so the deletion can synchronize. A small player-linked deletion request also stays locally until it is accepted for synchronization. If the service is unavailable, the game retries on a later launch.
Cloud erasure may therefore be delayed. Keep or reopen the game when a connection is available if deletion has not yet been queued. Google account information and purchase records are managed separately through Google.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to certain processing. Send a request to the privacy contact. We may need enough information to verify the request. Locally stored offline saves are not accessible to the developer from a server.

This page uses no advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, cookies, or embedded social widgets. Its illustration and fonts load locally. The motion switch changes this visit only and is not stored. There is no contact form or game-save access on this page.
The planned public host is Cloudflare Pages. When you visit the published site, Cloudflare processes ordinary request information, such as your IP address, requested page, browser information, and request time, to deliver and secure the website. Cloudflare controls its service logs and retention under its privacy policy . The local preview has no external hosting provider.
If you email us, we receive the address and information you send. We use it to answer and handle your request, and keep it only as needed for that purpose or a legal obligation. The studio mailbox uses Gmail; Google also processes correspondence and service/security information under its privacy policy . Please do not send payment details, passwords, or information unrelated to your request.
FOR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS
Younger players.
The offline game does not ask a player to provide a name, email, date of birth, photos, or contacts. This policy does not set an age rating; the game's store listing states its published audience and content rating.
Optional Google services have their own age, account, purchase, and consent rules. A parent or guardian with a concern about a child's information can use the privacy contact below. Please identify the feature involved so the request can be directed to the right service.

Get in touch.
For a privacy question or request about BONECAT, contact ARKIV GAMES STUDIO. Include “BONECAT privacy” in the subject and tell us what you need.
We will update this policy when the game's data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. A material change will be explained before any new reporting service is enabled.
